HAAM Day 2020 is happening on Tuesday, September 15th!
HAAM Day is on and we need your help to help us reach our 15 year anniversary goal of raising over $600,000 in one day!
Back in January, we were gearing up for a big year - celebrating 15 years of HAAM providing access to affordable, quality healthcare for musicians. HAAM Day 2020 was going to be our best one yet! We had big fundraising goals to cover the increasing needs we are seeing from Austin musicians. Fast forward to today - none of us could have expected what was to come.
It's been just over four months since the live music scene in Austin was dealt an unexpected and astronomical blow - a hard, fast halt on live music. This meant that thousands of Central Texas musicians, who rely so heavily on their weekly and monthly gigs, were now without any source of income. As the effects of COVID-19 continue to wreak havoc on the Austin music community, we know that now more than ever, access to affordable, quality healthcare is vital to our musicians maintaining their livelihood and their ability to remain in Austin, creating the music we all love.
It's for those reasons that we have decided to create the very first virtual HAAM Day! HAAM Day is more than just our biggest fundraiser of the year, it's a day dedicated to supporting, enjoying and discovering the local musicians who help create the Austin that we all love.
HAAM Day going virtual means more opportunities for musicians to get involved, more music for you to enjoy and brand new features we've never been able to do before.

Although HAAM Day may look a little different - our fundraising goal and the need to help our Austin musicians remains the same. While we know that everyone has been effected by COVID-19, we hope you will consider supporting HAAM at this critical time.
We also know that many of you may not be able to participate as you normally would, if at all. And that's okay - we hope you will still reach out. We are getting creative and individualizing opportunities with each and every one of you, so that we can all come together to keep music in Austin alive and well. Investing in HAAM now means investing in the future of the Austin music community.
Musicians: Want to Play HAAM Day?
We want musicians like you to play for us on HAAM Day by creating your own livestream in support of our mission! Moving to a virtual format allows us to exponentially increase the number of HAAM members that are able to give back and get involved by playing on the big day. Without the usual constraints of booking requests, venue availability and programming preferences, we will be able to include a wide range of talent more reflective of the diverse array of musicians our programs serve.
Members who wish to participate in HAAM Day can stream from their personal channels at any time of the day and have their own “Donate to HAAM” button included on the stream, building the online music community and expanding our reach to a broader audience. Musicians playing HAAM Day will be featured on our website and HAAM will co-host each stream which will allow them to be listed on the HAAM Facebook page.
