A Message From CEO Paul Scott

We are thrilled to formally announce HAAM Day 2022’s date on September 13, and this year’s presenting sponsor, PNC Bank. When COVID-19 hit, we were unsure as to when we would be able to return to our original format - one that is so loved and cherished, and deeply missed! Through the generosity of our community and HAAM’s ability to pivot, we had very successful virtual events last year. But this year, we are happy to return to hosting showcases and music all across Central Texas. We will be merging some of the best of what we have learned over the past two years, such as hosting performances on our social media platforms, while also making a splash across town. We will be putting the ‘live’ back in live music!

For the past 16 years HAAM has helped nearly 6,000 musicians access more than $123 million dollars in healthcare and served as a lifeline to the performers that make the capital city the “Live Music Capital of the World. HAAM Day is our biggest fundraiser of the year. And we can only continue our mission - serving the healthcare needs of Austin-area musicians - by having the entire business community come together to join our musicians and community partners in making this our most successful HAAM Day yet.

During these uncertain times we continue to see Austin musicians live at the margins of being able to make a living which allows them and their families to continue to live in Austin. We all know and love Austin area musicians. They are our neighbors, our coworkers, our family, and the lifeblood of our community’s creative culture. They are the reason many of us moved to Austin and enjoy living here so much. HAAM Day is our collective opportunity to give back to those musicians and show them that we care about their general welfare and healthcare.
