Highlights from a Historic HAAM Day Music Festival

HAAM Day 2025 Music Festival has been 20 years in the making! In March 2005, local philanthropist, businesswoman, and Austin music lover Robin Shivers founded HAAM in an effort to alleviate some of the financial burdens on musicians. For 20 years, HAAM has been proud to keep that legacy of supporting local music in Central Texas alive and well.

Last Tuesday was a celebration and reminder of why we support local music! We owe a round of applause to our HAAM Day 2025 Music Festival presenting sponsors, PNC, SXSW, and C3 Presents, to H-E-B for hosting our headquarters at their new South Congress location, to the amazing staff, sponsors, community supporters, volunteers, and musicians who donated their time and talents to make this day possible.

🎶 HAAM Day Music Festival has grown from 13 live music locations in its first year to well over 100 venues across Central Texas, making it the world’s largest one-day all-local music festival, with 250+ live performances from 300+ musicians!

🎸 HAAM Day 2025 Music Festival featured over 120 hours of music in just 24 hours - that’s 5 full days of free local music for the Central Texas community to enjoy, raising critical funds for HAAM's life-saving services.

🎤 HAAM Day 2025 Music Festival featured 400+ all-local musicians throughout the day who donated over 20,000 minutes of live music! That equates to nearly $67,000 in talent and performance time to make the dollars you donate go further.

📍 We had over 200 locations and sponsors featured on our Interactive HAAM Day Music Festival map! HAAM Day Music Festival wouldn’t happen without the support of the Greater Austin business community.

Over the last 20 years, HAAM has provided over $215 million in healthcare services for the musicians, DJs, and music teachers we serve. For every $100 raised, HAAM is able to leverage that into $700 of lifesaving healthcare access for the talented and hard-working musicians who were showcased across Central Texas on Tuesday. Surpassing last year’s total of $890,000 equates to over $6.2 million in healthcare services. All funds raised go directly toward providing life-saving care to thousands of Central Texas musicians for many years to come.

Thanks to the support and generosity of our musicians, music-loving community, businesses, venues, and sponsors, HAAM Day Music Festival has grown from raising $35,000 in its first year to — drumroll please — now, we are on our way to surpassing last year’s total of $890,000 to support local music! But we need your help to get to the finish line!

HAAM Board Member, Bruce Callahan, has very generously offered to match another $50,000 in donations. Every dollar matters when it comes to providing lifesaving services for working musicians across Central Texas. We are asking our supporters to match Bruce's generosity and donate $20 or more in honor of HAAM’s 20th year!
