What to Expect:
Participants will learn more about filing a tax return when self-employed, including which business expenses can be included to reduce taxable income, techniques for tracking and organizing self-employment income, and useful tips to prepare for tax season.
This workshop is an excellent opportunity for any self-employed HAAM member to get ready to file their federal tax return, either through Foundation Communities or elsewhere, and can be followed by a one-on-one Get Ready appointment with Foundation Communities.
Workshop presenter Miguel Stoupignan has volunteered with Foundation Communities since 2013 and has shared his knowledge with more than 350 mentees as a financial coach, tax preparer, and teacher of money management classes.
