HAAM’s Mission
HAAM (Health Alliance for Austin Musicians) is a nonprofit organization that provides access to affordable healthcare to Austin’s low-income, working musicians. Since 2005, HAAM has helped musicians access over $191M in healthcare services, including primary and specialty care, mental, dental, hearing, wellness, and vision services. Each year over 3,100 musicians depend on HAAM’s live saving programs.

Supporting HAAM allows the organization to continue working to keep music in Austin alive and well.
As a cultural staple of our community, live music draws tourists and companies looking to attract a talented workforce. Most Austin area musicians, however, are adversely affected by this economic boom. The majority live on the edge of poverty, performing their music and working multiple jobs, but struggling to pay the inflating costs for food, clothing, rent, and healthcare.
8,000+ musicians live in Austin. 50% of HAAM musicians earn less than $24,000 per year.
$1000 will help provide a musician with healthcare services for one year
For every $100 in donations, HAAM leverages $700 worth of healthcare services through collaboration with their partners

People can help us reach our goal of fundraising $875,000 by setting up their personal or team fundraiser for HAAM. People and teams who raise $200 by September 23, 2025, will receive a special invite to our HAAM Day Music Festival After Party! All monies raised go directly to supporting healthcare services for Austin musicians.
