Cilantro Boombox is an Austin-based band known for their electrifying live performances and genre-blending sound, fusing Latin, funk, Pan-African, and electronic music. Formed in 2010 by Félix Pacheco on bass and Joe Woullard on tenor sax and flute, the group’s high-energy shows are fueled by infectious grooves and powerful horn sections. The addition of frontman Christopher "Zumbi" Richards on vocals and trombone added to their dynamic sound. They’ve delivered standout performances and have been featured on the same bill alongside Willie Nelson, Café Tacvba, Los Amigos Invisibles, Thievery Corporation, and Brownout, while continuing to captivate audiences with their dance-inducing sound through their latest releases, including Little Sign (2023) and Best Shoes (2024).
