Welcome to Fred Jay’s “Texotika”, that music that melds elements of Tiki Lounge music with Texas Blues and Space Age Instrumental rock. LP records from the musical genre “Exotica” that originated in the late Fifties and early Sixties, inspired piano player Fred Jay Ross to specialize in emulating those exotic sounds. This interest culminated in the composition of the “Texotika Suite” which was featured at the Austin Texas New Age Festival and on the CD entitled “Music from Outer Nebula”.
