JIMI LEE grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. When JIMI was a teenager he opened shows for giants: Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker and Bobby Blue Bland. In his twenties, JIMI played harmonica for legends: Willie Nelson, Stephen Stills, Clarence Clemens, Pinetop Perkins and others. He spent 12 years in Hawaii captivating Audiences from around the world and was voted "Best in the state" by the Hawaiian Blues Society.
After relocating to Austin Texas JIMI LEE won First Place at the annual Austin blues competition. He became the first artist to represent Austin Blues Society at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis. JIMI LEE went on to win the Semi-Finals for Austin and compete at the famous Orpheum Theatre as one of the top eight Blues acts in the world; "The Best of the Best", as the Blues Foundation puts it.
