“The Mixolydians” are a local instrumental duo who play traditional Irish and American fiddle tunes, along with a few originals. Jamie Stubblefield (guitar) also plays in a bluegrass band, “Out of the Blue.” Vanessa Gordon, (fiddle) teaches Suzuki piano and violin and works as a piano accompanist at the Austin Waldorf School. For Haam Day, they will be joined by special guest, Kenny Tweedy, on button accordion and tenor banjo. Jamie, Kenny and Vanessa have been involved in Irish traditional music for years and play on Tuesday evenings at a session at Suds Monkey Brewery.
